Services:

1. Inter Library Loan Service:

KSHEMA library is a member of DELNET and is actively participating in resource sharing.

2. Book Bank facility:

This facility is been provided for the SC/ST students of the Institution.

3. Document Circulation Service:

Books are issued for the faculty members.  Bound, unbound journals audiovisual materials and CDs are for in house use only.

4.Reference Services:

Reference Service is a personal aid provided to the user by the library staff in interpreting library collection for study and research.  The library staff assists the user to locate needed information from the available information resources.

5. Photocopying Service:

The library provides photocopies of articles from journals and books to the users as and when requested.  The service of multiple copiers  is available in the library.

6. Paper Clippings:

The  Newspaper clippings on medical science is being displayed everyday and is filed  for reference purpose.

7. Library Orientation:

An orientation programme is conducted for the freshers on how to use the library and library services.

8. Book Exhibition:

Book exhibition is being conducted every year for selection of books to the library.


Rules and Regulations:

  • Library card is issued to all the students and the entry will be restricted to library card holder only.
  • Scan the library card at the entrance of the library during the entry and exit.
  • Bags, briefcases, handbags, parcels, aprons or other receptacles are not allowed to bring inside the library. They may be left in the property counter provided in the library. Users are advised not to keep their valuable things in the property counter. The library accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of any articles so left.
  • All books/journals and other library materials are to be used with care.
  • Any kind of damage of library materials (marking, underlying, clipping of books) is absolutely forbidden. Readers shall be held responsible for any damage done to the book belonging to the library and shall be required to replace it or pay double the cost thereof.
  • Loss of Library card should be immediately reported to the Librarian.  A duplicate will be issued on payment of Rupees 100/-. However, the card holders will be responsible for the misuse of the lost card. 
  • Silence and strict discipline should be maintained in the library. Every one shall ensure that no reader should feel disturbed in their study by any act of his/her.
  • Engaging in conversation/discussion/group study inside the reading halls is strictly prohibited. Discussion is permitted only in outside reading room
  • Use of mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside library premises. They are to be switched off or to be kept on silent mode in the library reading halls.
  • Consumption of food and drinks(except water)  is not permitted in the Library.
  • Chairs and tables and other library equipment, and furniture may not be marked, defaced, disarranged. Users should not place their feet on chairs or tables.
  • Users should not reserve seats either for themselves or for others by leaving library material or personal property on a reading table.
  • Users are responsible for complying with copyright act while photocopying library documents.
  • Computers are for educational use only. The use of the Internet in the library is for reference work. Accessing unauthorized sites, playing games, chatting etc. are strictly prohibited. Do not install or uninstall any program or service in any computer. . If any device of the computer is not working, do not fix it kindly report at the reference desk or to the IT person in charge.
  • All users must follow the dress code of the Institution while visiting the library.
